In 1972, Madeleine de Sinéty moved to Poilley and spent ten years photographing rural life in a small Breton village undergoing profound change. Her powerful body of work, a testament to a vanished world, now inspires filmmaker Julie Bertuccelli, who sets out to follow in Madeleine’s footsteps to rediscover what it is about these photos that touches our hearts so deeply.
