Modigliani's Genuine Fake Heads
Documentary, 53 minutes, 2011
Director: Giovanni Donfrancesco

Synopsis:

It is said that Modigliani, one of Italy's most revered artists, had tossed sculptures in progress in a creative outrage into the river flowing next to his studio in Livorno. Decades later, the legend is still alive and art historians arrange a scavenger hunt to the bottom of the river. The media frenzy around the search drives a group of young Livornians to create sculptures of their own and chuck them into the river.
