Based on a handful of accounts, one photo and two chandeliers, Robert Bober revives the memory of his great-grandfather, who left Poland for Vienna in 1904 when the writers Stefan Zweig, Joseph Roth and Arthur Schnitzler were building the reputation of this cosmopolitan city so open to modernity.
